Rite
of Christian Initiation (RCIA)
Our faith community is committed to knowing and loving God, the RCIA (Rite
of Christian Initiation of Adults) process welcomes new members into the Church
and shares the love of God with catechumens and candidates, integrating them
fully into the Roman Catholic Church and
our parish community. At the
same time RCIA inspires Catholic parishioners to a deeper belief and renewal of
their Christian Faith.
After
joining the parish community for the 8:15 Mass each Sunday morning from
September through Pentecost, candidates and team members gather to share the
knowledge and practice of our faith. There
are four stages (periods) in the process: Inquiry,
Catechumenate, Enlightenment and Mystagogia.
The first of these, Inquiry, are preparatory and are held monthly
concurrent with the others. There
is, however, a more structured period of Inquiry beginning in September.
If you, your spouse or someone you know is interested in exploring the
possibility of becoming Catholic or completing Initiation into the Church,
please contact Sr.
